My freakin' awesome day off according to Instagram


So I've finally managed to get myself organised and link up for My Week on Instagram as made famous by the fabulous Tina from Tina Gray {dot} Me. Only I cheated, instead it is My day according to Instagram or more precisely My day off according to Instagram, because on this day I was toddler and husband free!



First I got to have morning tea without a toddler trying to eat it or push my mug up to my face to make me drink faster - because we all know that's funny shit.


I had a cricket free day! That's right NO cricket.
I live with a cricket loving freak who can sit and watch a five day test from start to finish. Not cool. I'm sorry but if you too are a cricket loving freak, we can't be friends any more. Just sayin'.


I took down all of the Christmas decorations without a toddler wrapping himself in the tinsel and bowling Christmas baubles down the hall (because the cricketing indoctrination has already begun). This took longer than I thought and was a little depressing until I saw my clean, uncluttered house. It's a good look (short lived as it will likely be).


I sat on my butt and Pinned my heart out, without greasy little toddler fingers coming over the top and scrolling my page up and down, losing those awesome unpinned pins. It was Pintastic I tell you!


I got to read through the Wordless Wednesday link up posts at a calm and leisurely pace, not screaming through them during nap time while also allowing enough time to hang clothes on the line and do other random household shit that can only be done when toddlers are unconscious.


I also baked. I might have ruined half a batch of delicious raisin, choc chip and oat cookies by accidently baking them on wax paper rather than baking paper, but that is neither here nor there. The point is I baked.


Finally, before heading off to pick up the little Squishy, I got to water my garden, without having to drop the hose every 2 minutes and catch the toddler trying to commit suicide somewhere in the garden.

 Not a bad day.

So that's your secret. I've been seeing all your beautiful pins coming through and wonder how you do it. I try to do mine late at night but my eyes are usually hanging out of my head (like now)! Nice one Bree. (And I'm a cricket lover but I'll still be your friend. LOL)
