3M Command Clear Hooks Christmas Challenge


Twinkle in the Eye was fortunate enough to be chosen to participate in the Digital Parents Collective 3M Command Clear Hooks Christmas Challenge. The good people at Command sent us the entire range to trial in decorating our home for Christmas. I have always been a bit sceptical about using this kind of product on the off chance they did damage the fresh paint on the walls of my newly built home, but in trialling this product I am delighted with the results and the creativity it allowed me to unleash this Christmas!


We made this challenge a family affair. First thing we needed were supplies in the form of four branches. The Squishy was a big help with this.


Next we needed some muscle to cut the branches (aka husband sexy pants)


 Finally, I needed to tidy up the spindly bits, this is a spindle free zone.


And the finished product - a beautiful wall tree!


The best thing about using the clear hooks for this project is they are unobtrusive in appearance. I used 17 hooks of various sizes for this project and they do not in anyway distract from the overall effect I wanted to achieve. They are easy to assemble and apply but most importantly when I made mistakes and had to remove them, they came off without leaving a mark. I am also impressed by the amount of weight they hold, the branches we used are particularly heavy and the hooks have not failed.

 Being so excited about what we achieved we used up the rest of the hooks around the home. We hung our Christmas wreath.

The Advent Calendar found a new home


 And my Christmas apron now has a place
