Wordless Wednesday: 94 Wood Street

Last week someone very special to me passed away. It's been a sad and tiring week, but it's also brought joy, because this awful event brought us back to my grandparents home.

This home holds many happy memories, they are memories made by generations of family who love and support one another within its walls and beyond. Laughter and tears are all welcome here.

I hope your world holds such a place...

I am very sorry for your loss, Bree.

I recently was so homesick for my hometown and my family that I had a quick trip back to Christchurch with Boyo. As soon as I drove into my grandparents' street (despite the many craters and divots left from the earthquakes), it just felt like home.

I really miss my Grandparent's house. I have so many amazing memories of my time spent there as a kid and just having so much fun. My grandmother had an amazing garden, filled with lots of gnomes and other things for us kids to search for, and she was always changing it around so each time we visited we would go on a hunt for how many gnomes and animals we could find and Grandma would tell us if we had found them all and give us hints on where to look for the ones we had missed. I really, really miss that. And them.I'm glad you were able to find some joy in the grief.
