The Pinspiration Project - Envelopes and Seedlings

Welcome to the Pinspiration Project where I attempt to conquer some of the things I've pinned.

I'm starting with handmade envelopes. The pin originates with Emily from Design and Nonsense.

And here is my effort, using up old scrapbook papers. It could not have been simpler, I did them standing at the kitchen bench while the Squishy had a nap. I plan on making a whole lot more and filling each with a hand written letter to send to family and friends.

The next Pin I brought to life came from Silvia, who posted in the Florida Gardening Forum on the iVillage GardenWeb. Silvia uses plastic crates as a cheap and effective greenhouse for garden seedlings.

And here is my attempt at planting cherry tomato seeds. I found this to be really effective, seedlings grown in the containers sprouted faster and are growing more quickly than those on the outside.

Have you created anything you've pinned? If you're a blogger and have a post link it here, or leave me a comment and share the link to your pin.

  1. Gorgeous work Bree! The envelopes are beautiful and would look super cute sealed with a piece of pretty washi tape too! Love the plastic tub idea! We are planting out some seeds today so might just use that one.

    1. Thanks Lisa. Now I just have to Google washi tape - I've never heard of it! Good luck with your seedlings :-)

I love the envelopes idea - it's on the to-do list! I think I am going to make ones from old maps for my Dad, he'd love it :)
