Crafting with Sweet Little Pretties


Introduce yourself Hi I am Lisa, I am 24 years old and live in Sydney, I married my teenage sweetheart and have been married just over a year. I started blogging in 2010 but the majority of my time was taken organising and making invitations and accessories for my wedding, so I revamped my blog in August 2011 and have never looked back.


You have a blog called Sweet Little Pretties - what's it all about? I share my love of craft, sewing, cooking, baking, reading and everyday fun, I also have a weekly Meme called Sweet Little Things About Me where we share different topics that people don't normally blog about.

How did you learn to sew? I learnt to sew in Year 7 for a term, but I don't remember any of it. It wasn't until I was 21 that I thought sewing as a hobby would be fun, so I bought a sewing machine and I taught myself how to sew.

What other kinds of craft do you do? I love all crafts, I love to knit, cross stitch and even make my own candles

What is the best thing you ever made? So many things I have made that I have fallen in love with - but my most used piece would be my kindle holder - which I adore. I also can not part with any of the quilts I have made.

What was your biggest sewing or craft disaster? So many disasters! I normally have pattern disasters and have to start from scratch

I saw on your blog you were making bibs...are there plans for the pitter, patter of little feet? No little babies here just yet - We have only been married just over a year so just enjoying travelling and our time together at the moment.

What does sewing and craft add to you life? I couldn't imagine having sewing and craft in my life, it is a way to relax and I love giving handmade gifts to family and friends and sharing with my blog readers.
